A word about VR

I thought it strange that when I first joined this site I would be reading obituaries, engagement and wedding announcements and a host of other things.

Now, after spending a little time in the communuty and getting to know people I have come to understand that it really is a great online community and to share personal thoughts and events is pretty normal.

The success of VR has and will remain the task of people taking an active part. I don't think Cancer could have forseen the amazing success that his site would be.

The development of people here and their relationships, ups and downs is a sociolgists playground.

Outside of a real relationship it has all the ingredients of a real life community, it's policed remarkably well with people with integrity and as in real life it's amusing to see the kids waging their adolescent war with them.

I have been involved in a great romantic online relationship myself and had the pleasure of meeting that person at the beginning of the year, we are still 'involved' and it seems to be working .... so far. Again that relationship came courtesy of this site. I also hear about the hundreads of relationships that are not making it ... so much like real life.

Sure we have a dictator, but through the forsight of this one man it has brought together a thriving community.

I hear the drama about Cancer 'should do this or do that, but hey, it's his site and he has decided to share part of his dream with us so to adhere to his rules should be paramount.

I am just so happy to be part of this community, it does take up most of my online time but I have no quams with that.

Looking forward to so much more!!

Inclusive Christianity

I wonder if Heidi knew that Inclusive Christianity would be abbreviated to IC (I see) well it has certainly opened my eyes.

So I took a leap yesterday and joined a Christian website. I say leap because I have never joined a religious site before let alone a Christian one.

I thought I would just sit on the sidelines and watch the site grow as indeed it will but on noticing familiar people on the site that I happen to hold in great esteem and with integrity I decided to jump in at the deep end and make a post.

It will now be my aim to get all those little questions ironed out, you know the type of questions you would normally hold back for fear of showing ignorance or perhaps causing resentment.

In some ways I fear being in over my head but that’s just me, that’s more to do with confidence than anything else.

It will also serve as a great reminder to me that I am a Jew above anything else and that the different between faiths are only in the written word and how it’s interpreted and that we are all people sharing the same planet searching for eternal peace.

Please feel free to pop by and take a look. You may find ‘like me’ that you want to linger a little longer.

I think you will find that Jews are held in the highest esteem. For was it not for the Jewish world, there would be no Christian world. There couldn't be a New Testament without the Old- and I agree with you in reference to a post you made there... why are we not continuing on with all the Jewish holidays as well? I ask this ALL the time.
